How does it work

How does it work

In an aerobic process - meaning in constant presence of oxygen - microorganisms decompose biomass, producing heat and compost. We start with residue materials (from agriculture, forestry, winemaking, food production, and sawmills) which act as fuel for the system. As the biomass decomposes, we capture the generated heat in the BioReactor and extract it via an innovative designed-for-purpose heat exchanger. The captured heat can be used for heating domestic water, space heating, or even a spa, swimming pool or greenhouse. At the end of the decomposition and heat extraction process, we are left with a nutrient rich fertilizer, ready for application to the next planting. This circular process reduces the hassle of waste disposal, and the cost and climate impact of fossil fuel heating and fertilizing.
